As you probably have noticed, your browser's toolbar has a background. What most people don’t know is you can modify this background to something that you yourself like best.  Below are several skins you can use to display these images across your browser's toolbar.  Simply right-click the image you want, then "save image/picture" to your hard drive.  To install the image manually click here, or use free software like HotBar to insert the image.  Note:  These images are in JPG format and are slightly larger than shown here.  It may be necessary to convert the image to BMP format before using the image as a browser skin.

Manual Installation:
1) right-click the image then "save" to your hard drive.  the image is in JPG format.
2) open standard Windows program like MSPaint.exe or pbrush.exe.  using program "open" the JPG file you downloaded.
3) edit the file as you wish, including adding text if you like, then "save" image as a high color bitmap (BMP) file.

Now that you have the image in BMP format you can copy the image to any directory, including your Hotbar directory, and use that program to automatically apply the skin, or manually apply the skin through your Registry Editor by following the directions below:
1) click "Start" bottom (lower left of monitor screen), then select "Run"
2) type "regedit" without the quotation marks.  a registry editor window will open
3) Go to: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbar
4) Find the string value BackBitmap, if it’s not there, create it.
5) Open the value, and add the path to the bitmap file (e.g. C:\Graphic\Bitmap.bmp).
6) Restart Internet Explorer. Now you should see your own bitmap file as the background on the toolbar.
Note: the image will also appear in the Windows Explorer Toolbar although you may have to restart your computer.
